BIOGRAPHY:

Gregg Tome currently lives in South Florida. Gregg was born in Manhattan and spent the early part of his childhood in the South Bronx before his family moved to Babylon, Long Island where he spent his formative years and met the people who would later inspire his work.

Gregg attended Hunter College in New York City where he majored in Film, minored in Theater. After Hunter College he studied at HB Studios and privately with Phil Gushee in NYC while performing in various independent films, commercials, and plays in off-off Broadway venues such as Ensemble Studio Theater, The Quaigh Theatre, Nat Horne Theatre. While in NYC he was a founding member of The Road Ensemble that went on to perform the Premiere of RAGE by Stephen King and adapted for the stage by NY Times best selling author, Robert B. Parker, at Israel Horowitz’s Blackburn Theatre in Gloucester Mass. The company also performed Rage in Los Angeles. While in Los Angeles, Gregg performed in the World Premiere of RIGA written by Tony/Emmy Award Nominee William Hoffman and directed by 5-time Tony Award Nominee/Obie Award Winer, Marshall W. Mason at the John Anson Ford Theater. He also performed in productions at various LA Theaters such as LATC, The Zephyr, Santa Monica Playhouse, and The Space. During this time in Los Angeles he began writing his one-man show, BACK TO BABYLON. The Premiere of BACK TO BABYLON was performed at Theatre at the Improv. He has gone on to perform the show at The Space, in Los Angeles, PS 122 in New York City as part of NYC Fringe Festival 2002, Theater West, and Cuillo Centre for the Performing Arts, West Palm Beach Florida. More recently he performed the show in Bayshore, Long Island at Boulton Center For The Performing Arts.

Gregg has been a member of SAG since 1994.

Film credits include THE FAN with Robert De Niro, MRS. DOUBTFIRE with Robin Williams, WHO SHOT PATAKANGO, OCEAN DRIVE, and HOW TO MEND A BROKEN HEART. Guest starring credits include LOIS AND CLARKE, THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN, and ONE LIFE TO LIVE.

Gregg’s Florida Stage Credits include WRONG TURN AT LUNGFISH at Palm Beach Drama Works, DOWN THE ROAD at the Stonzek Studio Theatre, and his one-man show BACK TO BABYLON, at Theatre West, and The Cuillo Center for the Performing Arts.

Gregg is currently working on his second solo piece and other projects including the screen play for “Back To Babylon”.
